VALIS' sound is inspired by a PDK novel of the same name, which explores the blurred lines of reality and delusion. VALIS sets frequently blur distinctions between genres, order and chaos; turbulence and structure. They combine brain-tickling sci-fi soundscapes, pulsating kicks and percussive rhythms; edging floors to the brink of chaos, before locking dancers into the groove.

Noah Southard, the man behind the alias, is no stranger to the decks or the dance floor. He has been involved in the underground Toronto scene since 2018, throwing his own parties and most recently, working as part of the Untitled and Paradox teams.

When he’s not DJing or organizing events, Noah is in the studio producing. Keep your eyes and ears out for upcoming releases in 2024.
